By the 20th century, it became the world's largest producer of flatwares, earning accolades for some of its designs introduced in the mid 20th century. It has been a leading producer of sterling, plate, and stainless steel tablewares, its products having high collector interest. Although it has undergone several name changes and owners over the decades, Wallace remains a prominent producer of silver wares.
