Steuben Glass

Steuben Glass was founded by two long time glass professionals, Frederick Carder, and Stephen Hawkes, better known for his cut glass, in 1903. Carder is justly famous for the color period in the firm's history. After his departure glass was predominantly clear crystal. By 2011 and a few owner changes, the company was out of business, but was revived in 2014 as an artisan based syndicate run by Corning Museum of Glass to reproduce past crystal designs.
